TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa Police have found a five-month-old girl after a traffic accident on 6th Street and Sheridan early Wednesday.

Police say the father, 36-year-old Dallas Woods, left with his daughter, Madison Woods, after a disturbance between him and the baby's mother.

Woods was taken into custody on Wednesday night without incident, Tulsa police said. He will be questioned by detectives.

Neighbors say they often hear arguments between the two.

"Just thought it was a young couple that fights and they would make up later. I thought it was those kinds of people," Arlette Van Alcala said.

Authorities say Woods' car crashed into a utility pole around 4:30 a.m., and Woods fled the scene on foot with Madison.

Investigators are concerned that Madison was not in a car seat at the time of the crash and could need medical attention.

"It was a pretty bad wreck. If that child was not in any kind of car seat, there could have been internal injuries that were not seen by the eye. We wanted to make sure that child was ok," Officer Jeanne MacKenzie said.
