BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – In an effort to continue the growth of Broken Arrow’s Rose District, one local church is slated for demolition.

The Assembly of God church has been vacant since 2006, according to the City of Broken Arrow, and now it will be taken down to make room for potential retail, businesses or even residential areas.

Removing the building located at 305 North Main Street will allow the city to expand the ever growing Rose District north.

"We're out of space in the Rose District right now. We have no more stores for merchants and restaurants. We have people to rent, asking for office space. We have none. We're out. So, uh, growth is essential,” said Wes Smithwick, Broken Arrow Chamber CEO.
