TULSA--A mother and son robbed a midtown bank on Wednesday morning, according to police. Tulsa Police say it happened just before 11am at the Arvest Bank located near 36th and Yale.

Following the robbery, police pursued a vehicle and arrested Betty Caskey and her son Christopher Caskey after stopping that vehicle on East Admiral Place and South 305th East Avenue.

Police say the mother and son duo crafted their plan.

TPD says Christopher went into bank, showed gun and demanded money while his mother, Betty, stayed in the car and drove the two away.

According to police, the suspects called in a false report of a carjacking nearby in order to create a diversion.

No injuries have been reported.
