TULSA - She may just be everyone's favorite person.
No, we're not talking about Ellen DeGeneres, although she's pretty cool, we're talking about Kirby Mackenzie.
Kirby is the librarian at McAuliffe Elementary in Union Public Schools. You may remember her as Kirby Thomas - she's gotten married since the last time we spoke to her.
We were first introduced to Kirby on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014 when Ellen surprised her with $25,000 and a bookmobile.
Ellen was back having fun with her surprises, and via Skype the talk show host checked in with Kirby at her home here in Green Country. Kirby was so excited she accidentally spit the gum out of her mouth on to the floor of her home!
Ellen surprised her with another $25,000 check for the school, as well as a home remodel since Kirby and her husband are fostering two of her students.
