CUSHING, Okla. (AP) -- Two earthquakes -- including one of magnitude 4.0 -- rattle Cushing and caused power outages, but no injuries or significant damage is reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 4.0 magnitude quake struck at 8:16 p.m. Thursday three miles west of Cushing, followed by a 3.4 magnitude quake at 8:59 p.m. one mile west of the town that's about 55 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

Cushing Emergency Management Director Bob Noltensmeyer says both quakes were centered near the town's power plant and caused the plant's breakers to trip, knocking out electricity for 15 to 30 minutes each time.

Noltensmeyer said Friday that no major damage has been found, but some homeowners reported cracks in the walls.
