UPDATE - Broken Arrow police say there likely will be charges filed against a high school boy after an altercation on a school bus Wednesday.

A school bus in Broken Arrow was pulled over at 1808 N. Elm Place in the Planet Fitness parking lot in Broken Arrow over an alleged threat made by a student.

Police say a high school boy and girl began arguing on the school bus and then it escalated into threats. The girl told officers the boy told her he had a gun and would shoot her.

The bus driver overheard the conversation and officers say he contacted the high school Transportation department. They called police, BAPD say, and police were sent to the scene and pulled the bus over.

After clearing the scene and finding no gun on the bus or suspect, a BAPD spokesperson said the school would handle discipline on the students involved and that the facts would be presented to prosecutors at the municipal level to determine the charges.

No one was taken into custody.
