TULSA - While both the Tulsa County Democratic and Republican parties say there is still demand for yard signs, the explanations as to why there aren’t as many in yards currently varies.

One thing both sides can agree on is that every election season signs being stolen is an issue.

Organizers at the Trump/Pence campaign headquarters say they’ve distributed nearly 2,000 Trump yard signs this year.

"A lot of people hasn't [sic] put theirs out yet because they're afraid that people are going to take them,” said event coordinator Katina Heath with the Trump campaign.

Over on the Democratic side, county organizers say demand has been high for Clinton signs, but they have another theory why it’s tough to spot Trump signs in parts of Tulsa.

"I think that there are many, many very fine Republicans who are embarrassed," said Tulsa Democratic party office worker Diane Helt.

After spending around three hours searching through 38 miles of different areas of Tulsa, 2 Works for You found an unofficial count of all of the presidential signs currently on display.

Our unofficial and admittedly unscientific count was as follows: 6 Trump signs, 26 Clinton signs and one Gary Johnson sign.

Overall, close to 70 other political signs were counted as well.
