COLLINSVILLE, Okla. - Community volunteers spent all day Saturday "Keeping Oklahoma Beautiful."

The "Keeping Oklahoma Beautiful" project granted Collinsville Downtown Inc. the money and supplies to paint a downtown storefront that needed a little TLC.

K.O.B takes applications from cities around the state for "Fresh Paint Days," and this time around the group was chosen.

“We want it to look better and prosper, and the only way to bring new businesses into the vacant buildings is to have the town look nice," said Collinsville Downtown Inc. Program Director Kimberly Miller.

The business next door to the old bank turned storage space also helped out.

“I feel like when we improve one thing it in turn improves everything kind of like a domino effect," said the owner of Recovering Roots Yoga Studio next door.

Collinsville Downtown said it will continue building up the area in hopes more businesses and patrons will enjoy their town.
