22 horses, 8 dogs rescued from vacant home

WAGONER, Okla. – More than 20 animals were rescued this week after being found malnourished.

The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office is investigating for possible animal cruelty after taking in 22 horses and eight dogs from a vacant home.

Deputies called the Humane Society of Tulsa after discovering the struggling animals.

All of the animals are being checked out by a veterinarian. The dogs are currently being cared for in the Tulsa area.

Details on the exact condition of each animal has not been released.

The name of a possible suspect has not been released either.
