Police use spike strips to stop chase through north, west Tulsa

TULSA - A wanted man was jailed early Friday morning after leading police on a chase through north and west Tulsa.

It started around 3 a.m. when an officer tried to pull over a car near Marshall and North Yale.  The driver took off and the pursuit was on.

Officers used spike strips at one point, puncturing two of the suspect's tires.

One tire was quickly down to the rim but the driver kept going until the second tire shredded off on the Keystone Expressway near 81st West Avenue.

Police found several license plates in the car and in the trunk.  They say there was a warrant out for his arrest.

David Marius was booked for eluding police and various traffic offenses.  He's in jail on more than $15,000 bond.
