Pint-sized Picassos sell their work to further an art education

TULSA - Tulsa's pint-sized Picassos are selling their work Thursday evening and it's to further their education.

Students at Tulsa Girls Art School are preparing for their art show, which is themed "Meet the Press".

The event's name comes from the girls' work over the last five months after Spirit Aero-Systems donated their printing press.

The girls are now selling their prints. Students are also selling sculptures of famous people from Lucille Ball to Rosa Parks.

TGAS Director Matt Moffett said, "This is not an elementary art show. It's an accomplished art show that these kids have worked so hard on."

If you buy the art, that money goes into an account for for student's art supplies or this summer's educational trip to St. Louis.

Moffett said, "You empower a child enough, it's amazing what they can achieve."

"Meet the Press" starts 5:30 p.m. TGAS is off Lewis and Admiral across from Ziegler's Art Supply.
