WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. -- A federal judge decided Monday that the man accused of kidnapping his stepdaughter for nearly 20 years will stand trial in May.
Henri Piette had a mental competency evaluation in Wagoner County in September, in which he was found competent.
Piette faces two counts of lewd molestation, first degree rape, and child abuse by injury.
He’s accused of kidnapping his step-daughter, Rosalynn McGinnis, from her school in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, raping her since the age of 10, and marrying her against her will.
Piette dyed her hair and changed their names to Stephanie and Bill.
McGinnis has nine children with Piette.
He’s accused of moving her and the children multiple times.
They eventually moved to Mexico where she finally escaped.
Piette will remain in custody until the trial starts in May 2019.

As we reported last week, Piette is accused of raping his stepdaughter for nearly 20 years, taking her to Mexico, and forcing her to have nine children.

The woman finally escaped in 2016 and reported the abuse to the police.
Piette is facing multiple charges, including two counts of lewd molestation, first-degree rape and child abuse by injury.
