Former Sapulpa, Mounds substitute teacher Brent Deckard jailed after teen reports molestation

TULSA - A former substitute teacher is behind bars for allegedly molesting a teenage boy.

Brent Deckard was named Tulsa's Most Wanted in April. He was arrested last Friday on two counts of lewd molestation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to court documents, a 14-year-old boy reported Deckard, a Mounds and Sapulpa substitute teacher, in May 2012 for providing him and his friends with alcoholic beverages and prescription medications like Xanax and Valium.

On one occasion, the victim said Deckard offered him Vodka and Valium and 20 minutes later Deckard performed oral sex on the teen, according to court documents. The boy said he left after Deckard's roommate came home.

Alex Rambino, who lived with Deckard at Avalon Apartments at the time, told investigators Deckard recorded the sexual encounter on his phone.

According to court documents, Rambino said he found the victim and Deckard together on several occasions and Deckard showed him other videos of himself engaged in sexual acts with boys he believed to be young teenagers.

In May 2012, authorities served a search warrant on Deckard. He confirmed the victim visited his apartment eight or nine times but denied every supplying the victim with alcohol or pills.

According to court documents, Deckard told investigators the victim had "come on to him" but he thought the victim was 18 years old. He denied the sexual act was videoed.

Deckard was also questioned about several molestation reports from the Sapulpa Police Department dating back to 2003. One alleged victim told investigators Deckard performed oral sex on him at two different church functions when the victim was around 13 and the defendant was 19. Another said Deckard did the same and the incident was recorded on a cellphone. According to court documents, witnesses confirmed the story to police.

Charges have not been filed in those cases.
