Driver David Ernst charged with first-degree manslaughter in SH-66 deaths of Kellyville residents

KELLYVILLE, Okla. - A Salina man was formerly charged with four counts of first-degree manslaughter Friday, a week after a fatal highway crash killed four Kellyville family members.

David Ernst, 52, was also charged with unsafe lane usage.

Investigators say Ernst was driving on State Highway 66 late Friday night between Kellyville and Sapulpa when his pickup truck crossed over the median, striking a car head-on.

Vernon Bowles, 74, Susie Frazier, 74, Vivian Henry, 51, and Alex, a 9-year-old boy, were all killed in the collision.
