2 dead in separate wrecks in Rogers, Wagoner Counties

TULSA - Two people were killed Wednesday night in separate wrecks in Rogers and Wagoner Counties.

The first accident occurred around 7:40 p.m. about half a mile south of Wagoner on U.S. Highway 69.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Yvette Wolf, of Wagoner, was driving south on the highway when she went left of center and drove under a tractor trailer.

Neither of the occupants in the tractor trailer were injured.  Wolf died at the scene.

Hours later in Rogers County, 67-year-old Charlie Bird died in a crash on State Highway 20.

According to OHP, Bird turned in front of an SUV and was struck.  He was pinned for about an hour before the Tri-District Fire Department could release him using the jaws of life.

Bird was transported to Claremore Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead from massive injuries.

The two people in the other vehicle were treated and released from the hospital.
