BIXBY, Okla. - Residents at a Bixby mobile home park are fed up after months of water issues, they say sometimes going days without any, and are asking their local officials to step in.

Shadow Valley residents can name multiple issues with their water.

"We just went 34.5 hours without water,” said Shadow Valley HOA VP Darrin Wells.

"I'm paying the same price as someone with four, five children,” said 20-year resident Lawanda Guess.

They say it's not always clean, it leaks often, they pay too much for it, or sometimes they can't get any.

"We need somebody who's going to be for us no matter what,” said Shadow Valley HOA President Dominic Birou.

Monday night, the neighborhood's homeowner's association president went before the city council, to ask why when he reaches out to his public officials he said he hears the same thing.

"We're not responsible for internal piping of a house or apartment complex, or mobile home park,” Bixby’s City Attorney Tammy Ewing told him.

"When someone is doing something that hurts another person it doesn't matter if it's private property or not,” Birou said.

He said councilor Richie Stewart is the only one who has his back.

"The city is providing water to the landlord, the disconnect is happening between the residences and the landlord,” said Bixby City Councilor Richie Stewart.

He agreed it’s a big problem.

"That is a quality of life issue, them not having water or disrupted water service,” he said.

He said he's willing to speak with shadow valley managers, but can't speak for others.

"What district is it in?’ 2 Works for You asked.

“Ward 3,” he answered.

“So why am I talking to you and not ward 3?” asked 2 Works for You Reporter Ashley Holt.

“I don't know,” he said.

Monday, Dominic got his time before the council with Councilor Stewart's help.

"I think a lot of these people feel exiled from our city,” he told them.

And was finally told the city will reach out to management. But…

"There's only so much the city can be involved in that as well,” the city attorney told him.

It can’t make any promises.

2 Works for You reached out to management at Shadow Valley, but haven't been able to receive a statement.

When we reached out to them for a previous story the site manager said they're aware of issues and sometimes issues aren't fixed as quickly as people would like.
