Officials aren't releasing the name or gender of the White Brook Middle School student.
Fire Chief David Mottor tells a local paper (The Republican) rescuers freed the student's tongue by pouring warm water on it.
No word, though, if the tongue stunt was done on a triple-dog dare like in the movie "A Christmas Story."
