Just what we needed: a soaking rain with no severe weather. As I talked about in this blog yesterday, I thought the threat of severe weather for today was very small, with flash flooding being a bigger concern. Below is a map of Oklahoma Mesonet sites that show how much rain has fallen as of 3 p.m.

More rain is possible tonight as a strong disturbance and cold front moves through the central plains. This frontal boundary is encountering some very humid air for this time of the year so its not out of the realm of possibility that by tomorrow morning some of us have three inches of rainfall in our rain gauges. And waterlogged yards on top of that.
Here is what our in house computer model predicts for additional rainfall tonight.

Email me your rain totals, email@example.com. I will share them with our viewers on 2 News at 10 p.m.
Behind the front temperatures will drop. Below is the temp trend I'm showing on TV.
7PM--------57° (Trick or Treating)
Have a great night!
