Bundle up this morning! Wind chills are in the low 20s with clear skies.

After a frigid start we will see gradual warming today. Winds will be out of the south, and that will help make a huge difference in how it feels outside! We will see highs climb into the low 60s with mostly sunny skies and a mix of sun and clouds early afternoon.

This weekend it only gets better. Our highs will soar into the low to mid 70s with a strong southerly wind. The downside to today and this weekend is that we have an elevated fire danger and potential  red flag warnings issued by Saturday and Sunday.

While the warm weather is nice, fire danger is still something we are dealing with here in Green Country when the winds kick up. We are still so dry and today and this weekend we still will see humidity levels below 25 percent.

We are still looking at next Tuesday as our next chance of rain. A rather potent storm system will move into the souther central plains and drag a cold front through Green Country. At this time, it appears rain and a few thunderstorms are likely across the region Tuesday and Tuesday night.
