Hope you had a good off season!

It was sort of deflating for me, since all we seemed to care about was the inflated ego of the NFL commissioner, the Patriots' owner and to a certain extent, Tom Brady. Five million dollars spent on the Deflategate investigation, and the NFL loses a billion dollars worth of credibility. So, let us get to the games, shall we.

Pittsburgh at New England

Over and under on how long it will take NBC to mention "Deflategate" is less than 10 seconds. After, of course, our favorite gal from Checotah sings her song. Look for the Steelers to become one of eight teams I pick to be road warriors and win. Steelers have fallen under the radar this pre-season, and I look for a bounce back for these guys while New England may deny it, but Deflategate, and now the rebirth of Spy-gate will leave the Steelers in mild upset: 29-28.

Green Bay at Chicago

Going with another road winner. Think Bears new coach Fox is a good one, especially for this woeful franchise. Cutler the coach-killer will work his magic early, while Pack looking to tell the world they can win without top WR Jordy Nelson. Packers in a score-fest: 38-34.

Kansas City at Houston

My third road winner pick in a row. Chiefs defense is going to be tough and Texans can't find a QB unless they put J.J. Watt back there. They may just do that. My pick is KC: 17-13.

Cincinncati at Oakland

Is it true, the Raiders actually a real football team this year? Those are the rumors. The Bengals are too cocky for their own good and it is Week One. My pick is the Raiders: 20-13.

Indianapolis at Buffalo

Lake Erie not quite frozen over just yet, but with a new coach and a new life in the falls. My predictions is a mild upset in Week One, with the Bills: 23-19.

Carolina at Jacksonville-Jax keeps WR Blackmon on the 53 man roster, and he hasn't seen a football field in 2 years. What does that tell you? Carolina 34-10.

Seattle at St. Louis-It's first and goal at the one with 30 seconds left....You have the top running back in the league ready for the hand-off to win the world championship.... but wait...QB Wilson throws over the short middle right in the hands of the defensive back and they lose the game. Wait, that is how the Super Bowl ended. Just thought you needed a refresher.  Dummest play call in the history of not only the Super Bowl but in football period. And for his efforts, Pete Carroll gets his face on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Seattle 31-13.

New Orleans at Arizona-Saints going down hill with every season. The downhill descent continues. Arizona 10-6.

Detroit at San Diego-Lions commit the dumbest move this side of Seattle play calling. Letting Suh get away. He is best player in the league, on both sides of the ball, period. Chargers win 27-20.

Tennessee at Tampa- Clunker of week 1. No comment game.

Cleveland at NY Jets-Talk about 2 teams without QB's! Holy Cow. Jets win 13-9. Browns continue its dysfunctional ways.

Tampa by 3.Miami at Washington-I take that back. Cleveland and Oakland Boy Scouts compared to dysfunctional Washington. Not even the NBA Sixers run this poorly. Dolphins send the DC fans slepping with the fishes...Miami 30-20.

Baltimore at Denver- Toughest pick of week 1. Going Denver because of altitude. Bronco defense will win it for them, not Peyton. That is high pitch voice Peyton. Broncos 16-10.

Philadelphia at Atlanta-Eagles need to put their points where their mouth is. Brafford, Murray..Sooners Northeast. Who knows what Falcons bring to the table, aside from an overrated offense. Could be over-under breaker.. Go over..What teams talons dig deeper? Say Eagles. Its more the American way. 34-31 Philly.

Minnesota at San Francisco-Rumor is Adrian Peterson is back with the Vikings. Did he see any pre-season action? 49er's seem to be a mess right now. Vikings can;t be mediocre forever can they?  Minny by 2.

Giants at Cowboys-Dez vs Beckham. Dez still complaining about call vs Packers last year. How convenient all the Cowboys forget about how they screwed Detroit they week prior on bogus "pick up the flag on a pass interfeerence call." that would have clinched Lions win. Giants 31-27.

Welcome back to the National Football League. Deflategate and all.
