TULSA - Oklahoma Olympians is a series about athletes who were born here, lived here or went to school here.
Shannon Miller may be the smallest of the Oklahoma Olympians, but the weight of her medals makes her the biggest.
At just over 5 feet tall, and a mere 85 pounds, Miller is the most decorated Olympic athlete from the state of Oklahoma.
She owns seven total medals; two gold, two silver and three bronze from two different Olympic games.
Miller participated in the Barcelona and Atlanta games in 1992 and 1996 respectively.
She won individual gold for the Balance Beam and team gold with the 1996 women's gymnastics team in Atlanta.
But it was after her Olympics career that Miller won her biggest battle. She recently beat ovarian cancer.
Miller has two children with her husband John Falconetti.
The Sochi Olympic Games begin Feb. 6. Find out more in our special section on KJRH.com.
