After nearly a week sidelined by an eye infection, NBC Olympics host Bob Costas is set to return to primetime coverage.
NBC announced Sunday that Costas would be back at the desk Monday night.

For the past week, “Today” host Matt Lauer had subbed for Costas, who had suffered from an eye infection that started in one eye and then spread to the other.
Costas had been wearing glasses since the start of the Winter Games due to the apparent reddening in his eyes. By Feb. 10, the infection had become a trending topic on social media, including several hashtags and handles on Twitter referencing “Bob Costas’s eye.”
Last Tuesday, Costas announced on “Today” that Lauer would be replacing him, but hoped to only be gone one night.
Lauer and Meredith Vieira filled in for Costas over the last week.
Lauer will host the primetime Olympics one last time before Costas returns Monday.
