TULSA - Oklahoma Olympians is a series about athletes who were born here, lived here or went to school here.

Andretti Bain was a Golden Eagle who took flight in the spring of 2008.

The Oral Roberts University sprinter pulled an upset at the NCAA Outdoor Championships when he knocked off USC's Lionel Larry to win the national title in the 400 meters.

Bain ran it in a career-best 44.62 seconds.

A few weeks later, he qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and represented his native country, the Bahamas.

Bain was part of the Bahamas' silver-medal winning 4x400 meter relay team.

He continues to run professionally, and occasionally returns to Tulsa to train.
