The National Hockey League suspended Anaheim Ducks defenseman James Wisniewski for two games, without pay, for delivering a forearm blow to the head of Phoenix Coyotes forward Shane Doan on October 31.

The incident occurred at the 7:12 mark of the first period during the Ducks' 3-2 loss in a shootout at Jobing.com Arena. Wisniewski didn't receive a penalty for his hit.

Wisniewski will forfeit $28,497.40. He will miss Anaheim's games against Pittsburgh (Tuesday) and Nashville (Thursday). The defenseman can return for Saturday's tilt versus Phoenix.
