After a day of sitting out of practice, Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith was back on the field Thursday.

Smith re-aggravated a shoulder injury in Sunday's 17-10 loss To St. Louis that he originally suffered in a Week 3 win against Washington. He has not missed any games this season due to the problem and took limited reps on Thursday.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford, who returned to play last week after missing the previous two games, and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who has missed the past two games, were both limited in practice for a second straight day.

The 1-6 Lions play at Seattle on Sunday.
