New Jersey Nets forward Yi Jianlian was diagnosed with a sprained medial collateral ligament of his right knee the team announced on Tuesday, but no timetable for his return was given.

After undergoing an MRI, it was determined the 7-foot Yi had a Grade 1 sprain of the knee. He suffered the injury during Monday's 79-68 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. He was hurt during the third quarter when he collided with Charlotte's Gerald Wallace and was helped off the court.

Before leaving the game, Yi had four points and six rebounds.
