USA loses 2-1 to Belgium at World Cup as watch party at ONEOK Field brings out huge crowd of fans

TULSA - The U.S. put up a good fight, but in the end they fell short losing to Belgium 2-1 ending their World Cup run.

At the end of regulation, the U.S. and Belgium were tied 0-0. But just two minutes into the extra period, Belgium scored to take a 1-0 lead. With that goal, the crowd at ONEOK Field let out a collective moan. 

In the 104th minute of the game, Belgium scored again to go up 2-0 on the U.S. And with the second goal, many of them started packing up and heading for the exits.

In the 106th minute of extra time, the U.S. scored to pull within a goal of Belgium 2-1 and the ONEOK crowd went berserk. Fans were jumping up and down, running across the field with U.S. flags and chanting U-S-A, U-S-A. But, the excitement faded as the U.S. failed to put another shot into the back of the net.

In the 92nd minute, the U.S. missed a great opportunity to take the lead and possibly win the game with little time left in regulation.
