The University of Tulsa announced its new head basketball coach Friday.
Former Mizzou coach Frank Haith succeeds Danny Manning with the Golden Hurricane.
Haith's move was reported Thursday but Tigers Athletic Director Mike Alden made it official with the announcement at a press conference Friday in Columbia.
Alden said Haith informed him via text message Friday morning he had accepted the job as head coach at the University of Tulsa.
"We thank him... and wish him the best at Tulsa," Alden said.
Haith was introduced at a 1 p.m. press conference at TU, joined by President Steadman Upham and Athletic Director Dr. Derrick Gragg.
In three seasons at Missouri, Haith was 77-28. He was the National Coach of the Year in 2012, but that 30-win team was upset by Norfolk State in the team's NCAA Tournament opener. The Tigers won 24 games last season, but had to settle for an appearance in the NIT.
