Oklahoma's own Carrie Underwood will soon be the face of Sunday Night Football, the National Football League reported on its website Tuesday.
The Checotah native will be taking over for fellow country starlet Faith Hill as the show's pre-game performer, according to the site.

Hill announced she was stepping away from the show last month. Underwood has yet to confirm the news, but she's no stranger to the NFL.
The chart-topper was first linked to the league -- and Tony Romo -- in 2007 when she briefly found herself at the Dallas Cowboy quarterback's side.
