GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) -- The NCAA scoring record was shattered Tuesday night by a player from Division III Grinnell College.
Jack Taylor poured in 138 points to lead a 179-104 rout of Faith Baptist Bible, breaking the old mark of 113 set by Rio Grande's Bevo Francis in 1954.
Taylor's performance got the attention of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant.
Durant tweeted, "Jack Taylor you deserve a shot of Jack Daniels after that performance lol...wow"
Taylor hit 27 of his 71 three-point attempts and was 52-of-108 overall from the field. He also hit seven of his 10 free throws while playing 36 minutes.
