TULSA (AP) -- The Tulsa County district attorney says charges will not be filed against former University of Tulsa guard Pat Swilling Jr., who was accused of sexual assault.
District Attorney Tim Harris said in a Tuesday news release that "...our ability to secure a jury trial conviction and punishment is not supported by evidence beyond a reasonable doubt."
Swilling was suspended in February and did not play again this season after the allegation was levied against him.
The university cleared Swilling earlier this month of any violations of the student code of conduct.
Swilling averaged 8.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Golden Hurricane where he transferred after starting his college career at St. Joseph's.
Swilling's father, Pat, is a former All-Pro NFL linebacker.
