NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Despite Oklahoma's lack of recent success playing at Texas Tech, coach Bob Stoops insists there is nothing "spiritual or spooky" about facing the Red Raiders in Lubbock.
No. 17 Oklahoma (2-1. 0-1 Big 12) is well aware of its three-game losing streak at Texas Tech (4-0, 1-0). Stoops said Monday there is no common thread tying those losses together and that each year is a different one.
No matter what, something will happen Saturday for the first time since 2003.
That's the last time Oklahoma won at Texas Tech and the last time the Sooners lost consecutive games in the same season. Oklahoma is coming off a bye week following a 24-19 home loss to Kansas State.
The Red Raiders stunned Oklahoma in Norman last season.
