OU Sooners hope to start quickly against undefeated Texas Tech Red Raiders in Norman, Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Lacolton Bester's 49-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard jumpstarted a sluggish Oklahoma offense in last week's 34-19 win over Kansas.

It's a play the No. 15 Sooners hope to carry over to this week when they host undefeated Texas Tech, just as they hope to change a recent pattern of falling behind early in games.

The No. 10 Red Raiders enter the game averaging 41 points and 548 yards per game, with 416 yards coming through the air -- second only in the nation behind No. 3 Oregon.

While the Sooners have the No. 1 pass defense in the nation, coach Bob Stoops says slowing down Texas Tech will be the job of the offense as well as the defense.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
