Linda Gibby, Human Resources Manager oversees the KJRH Internship Program to assure compliance.
Potential interns are asked to complete an internship application and submit a cover letter, resume and reference letter
from their school internship advisor. The reference letter will indicate that the student is in good standing
and will be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship. The length of the internship is determined by the Advisor
and an evaluation is submitted by KJRH as required. Students from area colleges such as the University of Oklahoma in Norman,
Oklahoma, Oral Roberts University in Tulsa and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater have participated in the program and students
are occasionally recommended through the station's corporate parent. In addition high school students may be given the
opportunity to "shadow" an employee of selected Departments in the station to help them gain valuable OJT skills that can help
them to decide what field of broadcasting they wish to pursue in college.
In 2008 KJRH partnered with Tulsa Technology Center and their new television production class for production interns. These interns
will learn to operate studio cameras, run audio and other behind the scenes duties.
