TULSA - The Tulsa State Fair starts Thursday, and there are do's and don't's for a successful 11 Days of Awesome.

DON'T: Park on the fairgrounds. Parking there is limited and costs $10 and $20.

DO: Park at one of four Fair Transit System locations, and ride the free shuttle to the fair.

Those locations are: Hale High School, Tulsa Public Schools Service Center, OSU Tulsa and the Tulsa Promenade.

The shuttle drops everyone off at the fair pavilion located at the corner of 17th and Louisville.

You can find a shuttle schedule here.

FAIR SECTION: Everything you need to know about the Tulsa State Fair

DO: Make sure your child is wearing a wristband. If you ever get separated from them, and they're wearing a wristband, sheriff's deputies  can call you and help you locate them.

DON'T: Panic if you forget a wristband for your child. If sheriff's deputies find a child without one they take them to an area for missing children. It'll take longer to find your child, but there will be a place to pick them up if you've separated from them.

DO: Feel safe. There will be 50 sheriff's deputies patrolling the grounds.

DON'T: Leave your car unlocked, or lose track of personal items.
