TULSA - Members of the Tulsa Hills Church of the Nazarene traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to lend their hand to flood victims.

The group of men is helping clear homes of debris and make repairs.

Pastor Jim Thornton said it's in the church's DNA to help out. Going was a 'no-brainer.'

"We cannot save an entire community through this. We can't even save an entire street. But these houses that we're at, we're able to help these people," Thornton said."If every body and every church organization and group, if they would do their part then great things can happen."

You can make a donation to the church's efforts in Baton Rouge here. Make sure to specify your donation is for the "Nazarene Disaster Response."
