TULSA, Okla. - A 16-year-old is dead this morning after losing control of his car on the icy roads.
Officials say it happened around 12:45 this morning.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol say he was heading westbound on US 64, just east of 177th West Avenue, when he lost control and departed the road to the right and hit a guardrail. After hitting the guardrail, the vehicle went airborne, struck the ground and rolled one complete turn.
OHP says he was ejected from the car.
He was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 2 this morning.
