Water emergency in Rogers County is lifted

OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) -- Rogers County authorities have lifted an emergency order that limited water use after a pump at the water treatment plant failed.

Rural Water district office manager Julie Hendrix said Wednesday that the new pump was installed and was operating normally.

The district asked water users to limit use on Saturday after one of the treatment plant's two pumps failed. A spare pump was installed but also failed -- requiring the district to order another pump.

Hendrix said the emergency was lifted after the newest pump was installed and operated without problems for several hours.
