OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma Department of Corrections Director Robert Patton has named Jackie Brannon Correctional Center Warden Jerry Chrisman as the interim warden at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary effective immediately.

Chrisman will take over the day-to-day operations and oversight from Deputy Warden Maurice Warrior, who has been acting warden since late October when Anita Trammell retired.

The JBCC and OSP facilities are approximately half a mile apart. The close proximity between the two facilities will allow Chrisman to fulfill both roles.

No time table has been set as to when a permanent warden will be named by the board of corrections at OSP.
