Rogers Co Housefire
ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - A Rogers County man says a smoke alarm woke him up Monday morning in time to escape a house fire.
Justin Scott said he woke up around 1 a.m. when the smoke alarm went off. He was able to get the family dogs out safely.
By the time firefighters arrived, the roof of the home was in flames. One whole wall of the house collapsed.
Scott said his grandparents also live in the house but he's grateful they were not home at the time of the fire.
"They're at the Hard Rock tonight for my grandpa's birthday, got them a room out there. That's a blessing that they weren't here tonight," Scott said.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
The home is a complete loss.
