Gov. Mary Fallin is touring storm damage in Carney, where four people were injured and several homes were damaged in Sunday's severe weather. The governor expressed concerns that residents wouldn't know of incoming severe weather because of the power outage.
Crews said it would likely take days to restore power -- meaning the area could be without tornado sirens as bad weather bears down on the state Monday afternoon and evening.
Utilities say power is out to about 6,000 homes and businesses in the state. Most of the outages are in Norman, Oklahoma City, Shawnee and Wellston.
