ACLU seeks investigation of OK Drug Task Force

(AP) -- The ACLU asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to launch an investigation on Monday.

It also called for charges to be filed against contractors from Desert Snow, who the ACLU says appear to be impersonating police officers in violation of state law.

In a letter to District Attorney Jason Hicks, the ACLU says company employees have never been certified as Oklahoma police officers but are operating law enforcement vehicles, making traffic stops and detaining people while armed.

Hicks and Desert Snow founder Joseph David did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.
