OKLAHOMA CITY - Friday marks the four-year anniversary of the grisly killing of a pastor in Anadarko.
On Aug. 23, 2009, Reverend Carol Daniels was at her church in Anadarko.
Every week she made the trip from her home in Oklahoma City.
On that day someone ambushed Daniels between 10 a.m. and noon when police found her body.
Investigators say Daniels was stabbed multiple times, nearly decapitated and left in a crucifix position.
One prosecutor called it the most horrific crime he'd ever encountered.
There have never been any suspects in the case.
Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations and other investigators across the country have come together to work on the case but so far they've had no luck.
Investigators say the case has always been a priority.
The OSBI announced Friday a seasoned special agent has picked up the case and Daniels' mother says she's hopeful the killer will finally be found.
Agents are asking anyone with information to come forward and call the OSBI hotline at (800) 522-8017.
