Recall round-up consumer alert: How to remedy these dangerous issues

Infinitoy recalls its Softimals toy .
 
The Consumer Product Safety Commission, CPSC, reports it's because an 18-month-old started to choke on one of the hats.
 
The fix is to remove the hat and return it to the manufacturer for a free replacement figure.
 
Some Trail Crest children's hoodies and jackets are recalled.
 
The CPSC says it does not meet federal guidelines and could be a strangulation hazard.
 
The remedy is to either remove the drawstring or return it to the manufacturer, Trail Crest, for a refund.
 
And Emerson Air Comfort Products offers either a free service call to repair one of its fans or a free do-it-yourself repair kit.
 
The CPSC reports brackets can break letting the fan blades fall off.
 
Be aware it is illegal to try and resell any recalled product.
