Ice missiles? Connecticut law enforcement officers begin on lookout for ice chunks flying from cars

HARTFORD, Conn. - A new law has people in Connecticut on the lookout for ice missiles.

The missiles aren't fired from a launcher -- but slide off the roofs of cars and trucks.

State troopers are ticketing drivers who ignore the so-called ice missile law.

Chunks of snow and ice flying off vehicles can pose a safety hazard.

The law, which went into effect this year, carries a $120 penalty for those who don't clear their vehicles.
