ONTARIO, Canada - McDonald's wants you to know what's in its chicken McNuggets.
The company has released what it calls a "behind-the-scenes look at our supplier's facility in London, Ontario, Canada."
"As you can see, the process starts with whole chickens," says project development scientist Jennifer Rabideau. "We separate all of the chicken cuts, set aside the chicken breast meat for chicken McNuggets."
According to the video, the breasts are ground, then seasoning and chicken skin are added. The skin is added for flavor and as a binder, officials said.
McDonald's made the video to dispute claims that chicken McNuggets are made from pink goop.
By the way, did you know McNuggets have 4 shapes -- the ball, the bell, the boot and the bow tie?
