Man arrested for armed robbery of Tulsa Walgreens

TULSA - A suspect was arrested Saturday for the armed robbery of a Walgreens near 51st Street South and Lewis Avenue.

According to police records 28-year-old Zachary Hynes approached the pharmacist with his hands in his pockets demanding Oxycodone and Lortab.

Hynes said he had a gun, but never showed it.

Officers located the vehicle transporting Hynes, but the driver denied he knew about the robbery.

Hynes was later located near 41st Street South and 33rd West Avenue.

Officers found empty Oxycodone bottles matching the description that was taken from Walgreens.

Hynes was transported to Tulsa county jail after receiving medical clearance.

Hynes is held on a $50,000 bond for armed robbery.
