A Tulsa mother was charged with second-degree manslaughter on Friday for the death of her nine-month-old son.

18-year-old Krysta Dawson was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Friday night.

On November 11, emergency crews responded to the Yacht Club Apartments near 51st and South Yale.  A fire department spokesman said Dawson took her son James to the complex's manager's office after finding him unconscious.

Dawson told police she was in the kitchen while her 19-month-old son took a shower.  The nine-month-old was placed next to the bathtub.
