Tulsa home destroyed by fire

The Red Cross is providing assistance with shelter, food and clothing for a woman her two children who made it out safely after fire engulfed their home in the 3200 block of S. 136th E. Ave. in East Tulsa.

The woman said she heard a a noise around 12:30 Thursday morning.  When she opened the garage door, she discovered a large fire.  The flames spread to the attic, collapsing part of the roof.

Investigators said the house is a total loss.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
