The founder of one of Tulsa's largest churches is hospitalized.
Reverend Billy Joe Daugherty has been diagnosed with cancer.
Daugherty was hospitalized last week with a viral infection in his throat, and further test results found lymphoma.
He sent a letter to the congregation at Victory Christian Center asking for many prayers.

A Word to Victory from Pastor Billy Joe:
"Thank you for your prayers and support!"
"This past week, I was hospitalized due to the viral infection in my throat and the complications that it created. During the various tests the doctors made a diagnosis of lymphoma. Some 2000 years ago Jesus died on the cross suffering for our sins and sicknesses (Isaiah 53:4-6, Matthew 8:16-17, I Peter 2:24). My faith is in God’s ability to give me victory in life and healing from sickness every day. Therefore, I am standing on God’s promises of wholeness in every cell."
"The focus of prayer is for the abnormal lymph cells to be eliminated and the healthy red cells, white cells, and platelets to increase. All of the immune system can receive continual prayer for strength."
"God is our source. I have taken Him as my Healer. My faith is in God’s promises. I am grateful for all of God’s gifts in doctors, medicine, hospitals, nutrition, diet, and exercise. I am seeking to maximize the best of these for this situation. Ultimately, all healing comes from God so our eyes are on Him. Our faith is in Jesus that we will come through victoriously."
-In Jesus,
Pastor Billy Joe
